Your One-Stop Home Remodeling Shop

If you have previously been involved in a kitchen or bath renovation, then you are likely to have a better idea of the process—as well as the emotional roller coaster such a renovation can involve. If you are an Indian Hill resident who has never ventured into the remodel/renovation realm before, it is a good idea to know what to expect. Of course, it is exciting when you think about how your kitchen or bath will look after a total renovation. That excitement can quickly dissipate when frustration takes its place as a result of the noise, mess, and disruption, which are hallmarks of a renovation project.  Anxiety and stress may additionally be emotions you will feel throughout the process as your home is dismantled, then put back together.

At Countertops and Cabinetry by Design, we understand these emotions and know they are a natural part of the remodeling process. While we will certainly encourage your excitement about the project, we will also help you sift through the less exciting aspects of a renovation, including budget considerations and installation questions. In fact, at Countertops and Cabinetry by Design, we will answer all your questions regarding design, installation, and maintenance thoroughly, and in a way you can easily understand. We will explain how the project will progress, how it could disrupt your everyday schedule, and how we will work hard to minimize those disruptions. In short, if you are an Indian Hills resident considering a kitchen or bath renovation, our highly experienced professionals can get you through the process with the least amount of chaos—and the beautiful results you have dreamed about.

It was incorporated as a village, became designated as a city under Ohio law once its population reached 5,000, then changed its name legally to “The City of the Village of Indian Hill.” Indian Hill began as a farming community, then beginning in the early 1900s, Cincinnati residents began buying up farmhouses in Indian Hill, using them as their weekend getaways. FAQs for Your Indian Hill, Ohio Kitchen or Bathroom Remodel

At Countertops and Cabinetry by Design, we believe countertops can be a focal point of your kitchen or bath, highlighting the beauty of your cabinets, sink, and fixtures. We specialize in quartz and granite countertops, which we believe are ideal for virtually any kitchen or bathroom, and any design. We offer a wide variety of colors, textures, and patterns, and our experts at Countertops and Cabinetry by Design will help you choose a quartz countertop that will bring your kitchen or bathroom vision to life.

We offer brands like Silestone, Viatera, and HanStone, along with many, many more high-quality brands. If you love the look of granite but want something with less maintenance, quartz countertops could be the option you are looking for. While quartz countertops might cost more, over time, they might prove to be the more cost-effective option between quartz and granite. Below are a few FAQs we routinely receive regarding quartz countertops.

  • What are some of the advantages of quartz countertops? Quartz countertops offer a natural luster, and an almost 3-D appearance, along with an extremely hard surface, with few imperfections. Since the material tends to be more “predictable” (as an engineered product), you are more likely to find nearly any quartz color you want to complement your kitchen or bath. Since quartz countertops are constructed from the by-products of other quarrying processes, they tend to be a greener choice. Quartz is extremely easy to maintain, does not require a sealant, and resists scratches and cracks. Since quartz is non-porous, there is little danger of staining, mold, or bacteria.
  • What are the disadvantages of quartz countertops? Quartz countertops can be expensive and tend to cost slightly more than granite. Quartz countertops are more likely to be scratched than granite.  When exposed to the elements they are not typically UV stable; therefore they might not be a good choice for use outside, on a patio, for example. Quartz is resistant to heat but is not entirely heat-resistant. Counters which are longer than ten feet may require a seam; however, quartz typically seams up very well.
  • What should I consider prior to choosing my quartz countertop? As with most aspects of kitchen or bathroom renovation, budget is always a consideration. Following budget, you will consider the type and quality of quartz you want; some fabrication shops sell cheap inferior quality material to achieve a price point.  This is not something that we do at CAC By Design and I do not recommend using price as a reason to choose a brand of quartz.  The dimensions of your countertops will have bearing on your choices, so it is important to have accurate measurements. The final consideration is, of course, your taste, as well as the rest of your kitchen or bath décor.  In addition to a wide range of colors, you can choose a quartz countertop with a honed appearance, leathered or a glossy appearance. Edges can be soft and rounded, chiseled and raw, or bold and square.

Not only will Countertops and Cabinetry by Design help you choose the perfect quartz countertop—or another type of countertop—we will also help you choose the perfect faucet, sink, tile, and cabinets. In addition to quartz countertops, we offer solid surface and granite countertops, an extremely wide array of cabinet and sink choices, and faucets to perfectly complement your other renovation choices.
