Morrow, Ohio

Morrow is a village in Salem Township, Warren County, Ohio. Originally founded in 1845, when the railroad was extended to that point, Morrow is names for Jeremiah Morrow, the 9th Governor of Ohio. The town is the subject of the song “I want to Go to Morrow,” by Lew Sully. It is about a man who wishes to take the train “to Morrow” and return “tomorrow” – playing on the similar pronunciations. The song appeared in episode 5 of the first season of The Muppet Show.

Morrow is located right along the Little Miami River, so it is a great place for outdoor recreation. The Little Miami Scenic Trail runs through the center of Morrow, so it is a great place for biking or hiking. FAQs for Your Morrow, Ohio Kitchen or Bathroom Remodel

While there are many aspects to your Morrow kitchen or bath remodel, new cabinets can dramatically update the look of your room as well as customizing your storage. In addition to kitchen or bathroom cabinetry, you may also be interested in cabinets in your laundry room, garage, or home office. Whatever you are looking for in the way of cabinetry, Countertops and Cabinetry by Design can help. Our experienced design team will facilitate your cabinet project, allowing you to choose from products by StarMark, KraftMaid, Waypoint, and many, many more. Some of the cabinetry questions we routinely get include the following:

  • What should I consider prior to choosing my kitchen cabinetry? Changing out your kitchen cabinets can truly make an amazing difference in the appearance of your kitchen. You will need to set a budget for your kitchen cabinets (typically, kitchen cabinets account for 40-50% percent of the total cost of a kitchen remodel). A professional from Countertops and Cabinetry by Design can perform accurate measurements on the area where you will be installing the cabinets. You can choose stock cabinets, semi-custom cabinets, or custom cabinets. Stock cabinets will be the least expensive, while custom cabinets will give you a larger array of styles, finishes, and dimensions to choose from. Both custom and semi-custom cabinets offer many different storage solutions, including a lazy Susan, pullout shelves for pans, vertical dividers, pullout bins, and wine racks. If you plan to be in your home for a very long time, you might want to consider semi-custom or custom cabinets, while if you are planning to sell your home, standard cabinets in a basic style could be sufficient.
  • How long should my kitchen cabinets last? While most cabinets should last from 20-30 years, lower quality cabinets could deteriorate more quickly. This deterioration could result in crooked or sagging doors and warped drawers. All-plywood cabinet boxes are stronger and can better handle the daily abuse that your cabinetry will be subject to take. While particleboard is less expensive, it is much more susceptible to moisture damage. Look for full plywood, full-back panels, solid quality hinges, heavy-duty drawer glides, and hardwood dovetail boxes.
  • What is the process for replacing kitchen cabinets? Replacing kitchen cabinets can be a significant task but by having one company do it all the process can be made very SIMPLE. The cabinet installer will check the walls and floors in your kitchen for uneven areas. All wall studs will be located and marked, and suspension rails may be installed. Corner cabinets are generally installed first, then the remainder of the cabinets are hung, with adjacent cabinets screwed together, and mounting hardware tightened. Once the upper cabinets are hung, then the lower cabinets are installed, using the same process.  The knobs and handles are the last things installed; then when our installer is sure the project has reached your expectations, the area will be cleaned, and you will be left to enjoy your new kitchen cabinets.
