If you are starting a new project from scratch, doing a complete remodel of your kitchen or bathroom, or simply searching for a simple countertop replacement, the best place to start is by taking a few photos. Be sure to capture the areas you would like remodeled, especially if you are replacing countertops. Because our process is standardized for efficiency, we can provide you a quote at our first initial meeting with the proper countertop dimensions. Make a sketch of the countertop dimensions and bring it with you to our first meeting. Our goal is to keep this as simple of a process for you as possible.
After you’ve taken photos of your project area (and possibly utilized some of our planning guides and other resources), the next step is to contact us. You can contact us via phone, email, or using a form on this site. Better yet, though, would be to stop into one of our conveniently located local showrooms. Appointments are certainly not necessary, but are encouraged if you would like to speak with one of our designers at a set time. We have convenient locations in West Chester, Montgomery, and Mason.
The next step of our process is to meet with one of our experienced designers. If you’ve filled out one of our planning guides, you’ll be one step ahead of the game because it helps us determine what you really need. We start with the why behind your project, assessing what you’re looking for and utilizing our experience to collaboratively create a design with you that best fits your needs. Our designers will help you select the best materials for your projects, whether that be countertops, cabinetry, tile, faucets, or sinks. We have a large selection of products so that you can pick the best combination to fit your style for any bathroom, kitchen, or countertop project.
If you’re searching for a simple replacement for your countertops, we can give you an estimate on the spot during this first meeting. Since our design team handles a multitude of different projects, we’re able to provide you the customized service you’re looking for. If you’re looking for a very detailed, updated remodel, our team will work by your side to determine the best next steps. Given the very specialized skill sets of our team, we charge a minimal design fee for large-scale remodeling projects if you’re looking for detailed mock-ups upfront. This cost is then immediately subtracted from your total project costs once scheduling the installation is complete.
If you’re remodeling a kitchen or bathroom, our design team will travel to your project location to walk through the size and design fit with you in the space itself. After the design team validates the measurements for your project, then our experienced installation team also verifies design and fit to ensure you’re receiving exactly what you’re looking for.
After project details have been solidified and approved, we process a 50% deposit of your total estimate so our team can get started on your next steps.
After we’ve received your deposit, the next step is to order the material. One of the reasons that we can install must faster than most of our competitors is because we control most of the products that we install. We sell the products that we know are readily available to us and we know that our vendors will stand behind us. The extent of that material depends on your project. Our goal is to make each and every one of our processes as simple as possible for you. One of the ways we’re able to do that is providing extremely quick installs when replacing countertops. You can often pick your template time in one of our showrooms, and move quickly to the next step of scheduling your installation.
At Countertops and Cabinetry by Design, we pride ourselves in making installation as simple for you as possible. We treat these installations like we would in our own home, so we’re sure to work quickly and efficiently to complete your project. We wouldn’t want our own home to be under construction for weeks because the team we hired isn’t working fast enough, so you can be sure, we won’t let that happen to you. After our team completes installation, we ensure we leave a clean area behind so that you can immediately begin to enjoy your new countertops, kitchen, or bathroom.
